Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Sendr Spots collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the iPhone app and this website.

Who we are

Sendr Spots is operated by Sendr Action Agency, OPC, 10/F 8 Rockwell Building, Hidalgo cor. Plaza Drive, Rockwell Center, Poblacion, Makati City, Philippines. For anything in this policy, contact spots@sendr.ph.

What we collect

• Account details. Your email address and display name, held by Firebase Authentication so you can sign in.
• What you post. Spots you create, board posts, photos and any text you write. These are public inside the app by design.
• Location. If you allow it, your device location is used to sort spots by distance and to show local weather. We do not store a history of where you have been.
• Camera and photos. Only when you choose to attach an image to a post. We do not browse your photo library.
• Notification token. If you allow notifications, a device token so we can send them.
• Basic technical data. Crash and performance information from Apple and Firebase, used to fix problems.

We do not collect payment details. We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising.

Why we use it

• To run your account and let you post.
• To show spots near you and the weather at a spot.
• To keep the app safe: reviewing reports, removing content, blocking accounts.
• To fix crashes and improve the app.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of services to run the app. They process data on our behalf:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging) for accounts, content storage and notifications.
• Google Maps Platform to display the map.
• Open-Meteo for weather. It receives approximate coordinates for a spot, not your identity.
• Apple for app distribution and crash reporting.

Content you post is visible to other users. Anything you make public should be treated as public.

We will disclose information if the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse or protect someone's safety.

Where it is stored

Data is held on Google Cloud infrastructure, which may be outside the Philippines. We rely on the safeguards in Google's data processing terms for those transfers.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is open. Spots and posts stay up until you delete them or we remove them. If you delete your account, we remove your account details and personal content within 30 days, except where we must keep something for a legal reason. Backups may take longer to clear.

Your rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173) you may ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, object to how we use it, ask for a copy, or have it erased.

To do any of these, or to delete your account, email spots@sendr.ph. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

Children

Sendr Spots is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we will remove it.

Security

Access is controlled by Firebase Authentication and server-side security rules. No system is perfect. If we discover a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell you in the app.
